Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town. It is quiet, at least in February when we visited. The sea lions and otters are fun to watch and listen to. There are lots of restaurants and bars to chose from for going out. We loved the wine and beer choices at The Savory Palette. There is live music but not on the night we were there.

We were surprised by the small town.
We were surprised by the small town. Great places to eat and buy souvenirs, but best of all was seeing the otters and their cubs up close. We loved it! There were also some harbor seals on the platforms. Guaranteed fun for animal lovers. We also took a walk to Morro Rock and watched the sandbanks and the waves breaking on the rocks. It was great! We had breakfast at Frankie and Lola's Front Street Cafe. We had lunch at Tognazzinis, dinner at The House of Juju and beer at Three Stacks and a Rock Brewing Company.

Morro Rock is incredible!
Morro Rock is incredible! Be sure you leave enough time to walk around the wharf and the rock area. There were so many restaurant options that it was difficult to choose one as we were only in Morro Bay one night.

Off season visit.
Off season visit. Several of our favorite shops & coffee spots were closed on Tuesday or Wednesday. Popular dinner restaurants were open and awesome as usual. Great November weather. Everybody seems to want to bring their dogs into the public spaces. We didn't like that.
Highly recommend this hotel if you’re planning to travel with your pets! It was my first time being in a pet friendly hotel and I had lower expectations but surprisingly the carpets were very clean, the room was extremely spacious. The room also came with an entire kitchen with a table and vintage microwave/fridge and stove with silverware as well. The bathroom was tidy but very clean and in great condition. The room didn’t have any bad odor it was nice and fresh, I really loved the wall decor as well!
Actually, we got a ticket for 2 cinnamon rolls at the cafe in front of the hotel. The cafe was a cozy one with tables inside and in front. While a bit busy, I was greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. After giving her the card, I was given a basket with 2 HUGE rolls, as big as my hand, straight out of the oven with the icing a sweet messy blanket on top. I inhaled one with a very good coffee - the best way to start a warm sunny day at Morro Bay
Very lovely privately owned hotel close to the water front. You are in the middle of all the shops and restaurants in Morro Bay. The hotel is very clean and has everything you need. The check in staff are always extremely friendly. You get a free bottle of wine and some chocolates to enjoy your stay even more. This is in my opinion one of the very best hotels in San Luis Obispo County and I have come back a few times.
Misty Morro Bay ! hotel adequate, clean it's a bit dated but nice enough, room had microwave, fridge, coffee maker.TV. Beds were comfy ..Rooms a little on the dark side but plenty of lamps.Parking on site.
location: short walk to restaurants and shops.
Whale watching was exceptional! should add and Sea Lions !! hundreds of them and lots of up close Hump backs on a smallish boat. So worth taking a trip here.
Pet friendly, but I guess that means dirty! 25$ a night for dog and they don't even have a place where pets can potty. Room was beat up and dirty. Bed very used and uncomfortable. Curtains don't close all the way so parking lot light kept us up during light. Pet friendly rooms are all on ground floor so no view and noisy upstairs neighbors. Will NEVER stay here again!
This is an extremely comfortable hotel in the most beautiful position on the sea front in tranquil Morro Bay. We felt very comfortable here, slept well and enjoyed our complimentary fizz on the balcony very much.
Probably my favourite hotel on a 17 night road trip.
The absolute highlight of our stay was watching the sea otters in the bay eat their crabs!
We had a very nice large quiet comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and professional. We felt welcome and will definitely return to this hotel. The location is excellent for wandering around Morro Bay without using a car.
My first time staying there. It was very nice. Beds were very comfortable which was great for my back. Clean room , the view was of the ocean and the rock. This will be my hotel of choice when visiting Morro Bay.
Staff was very friendly, we enjoyed some of the complimentary items and the hotel was near a lot of places we love when we visit Morro Bay. Staff was very helpful and welcoming shout out to Mr.Harry!
Wonderful accomodation close to everything in Morro Bay. Clean, comfortable rooms and hearty breakfast delivered right to your room with delicious cappuccinos!
