Beautiful, quiet location on Lake Arenal. Loved the gorgeous views of the jungle and the sights and sounds of all the birds and animals around the hotel. Hosts Simon and Jo were incredibly charming, warm and generous, and gave some great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. And their wonderful dogs really made the stay feel like home. I was very sorry to leave!

Nice place with an awesome view. Employees were friendly. No a/c but it was cool enough at night to be comfortable. It was a little pricey but so is everything else in Costa Rica this time of year.

I booked last minute because I missed the bus to La Fortuna. I woke up with stunning views of the hotel and beautiful surroundings. The room is very clean with AC and fridge, coffee machine and table, it has hot water!!! Love everything, regret that I was unable to stay longer. Will come back and highly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet place to enjoy the nature

It is such a personable experience with breakfast and coffee made at the table. And one of the best views of the lake we had during our time in Arenal.
Everything was great,
only down side is the busy narrow road around the town.
Outer locations were quieter!
We Loved Nuevo Arenal. It is a quaint little town about 40 min from Arenal Town. Although you can not see the Volcano from there, there are Beautiful views of Lake Arenal.. Great Restaurants and People.

It is a beautiful area next to the lake.
It is a beautiful area next to the lake. A car is essential for visiting. Unfortunately it is not really possible to swim in the lake. The banks are just mud. The nature parks are quite a way away, but we visited Monteverde and La Fortuna where there are lots of outdoor activities. The 'sodas' in the area and Nuevo Arenal served delicious local food. We discovered the Ecological park in La Fortuna which was really interesting.
